We knew Eldon when he and his parents lived in Ft. Collins. Many are the memories of being at their house. Also the fun times we had bottle digging and attending the bottle meetings. We have kept in touch over the years. A Robert Service poem comes to mind that I think he would have liked. "Good-bye-Little Cabin"
Take comfort that he was a fine man and is now waiting for you Marlene and your family. God Bless.

Eldon worked for me at the Exxon Twine Twine plant back in the 70s. He took me out to some of his artifact hunting locations that he and his dad used. I was very impressed with their collection and hope someone in your family is caring for it. He was a very conscientious worker and a nice guy to have on our crew. As far as I know Eldon is the third person to pass away from the Exxon crew. I wish the Platcek family all the best. May God bless you all. Wes

To Marlene and family,
My sympathy and prayers go to your family. The obituary in the Tracy paper was very short but I do remember you and your family. You often sat near us at Mass in St. Mary's in Tracy.
