Carmen Lakso

May 25, 1927 — December 11, 2018

Carmen Lakso, 91, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 25, 1927 to Fred and Mary (Straface) Legueri in Nashwauk where she grew up attended schools. On October 16, 1948 she married Reynold Lakso in Nashwauk where they made their home, later moving to Hill City, and to Two Harbors in 1961.  Carmen was employed as a clerk at Booksa’s Store and later the IGA.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Carmen enjoyed going for rides, reading, babysitting grandchildren, cooking, and trips to the casino.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sally Magnuson; granddaughter, Jennifer Bracey; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Reynold Sr.; son, Reynold Jr. (Peggy); daughters, Sandra Demars and Gail (Lee) Olsen; son-in-law, Tom Magnuson; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George (Alice) Legueri.

Visitation will be from 11 AM until the Noon Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
