Colleen Larsen

Colleen Larsen, 44 of Two Harbors, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at home.
She was born July 17, 1971 to Gerald and DayAnn (Tryggeseth) Sandvig in Robbinsdale, MN. Colleen grew up in Monticello before the family moved to Grand Marais where she graduated from high school. She met Curt Larsen in 1991 and they were married Thanksgiving 2005. Colleen worked as a waitress at Zee’s Deli and as a medical encoder before health reasons prompted her retirement.
She enjoyed talking and spending time with friends and family, traveling, fine dining, her dogs, 4-wheeling, fishing, and the Vikings. Colleen was also a member of the Evangelical Free Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Curt; step-children Jason Larsen, Gina (Dave) Haggard, and Ann (Pete) Prebarich; step-grandchildren, Brittnay, Cassidy, Jamie, Alex, and Matthew; siblings, Brian (Mary), Kevin (Paula), Darryl (Patty), Glenn (Pete Srivattanangkul), Dale, and Kyle (Pamela); her beloved dogs, Sven and Lena; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved and cherished.
Visitation will be held from 2 PM until the 3 PM memorial service on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church in Two Harbors.
