Denis Boyd

Denis Boyd, 74, Two Harbors, died Sunday September 4, 2016 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 23, 1941 to John and Dorothy (Miller) Boyd in Duluth where he grew up, graduating from Cathedral High School. Denis graduated from UMD and the University of Minnesota Law School in 1967. On August 21, 1965, he married Carol Mike in Duluth. Denis retired from his legal practice in Two Harbors earlier this year after 44 years.
He enjoyed hunting, sports, and most importantly, spending time with family.
Preceding him in death were his parents and daughter, Jennifer.
Denis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; sons, Alan (Kim) and Tom (Duana Olson); daughter, Melanie (Dean) Triplett, all of Blaine; grandchildren Taryn, Piper, Zac, and Zoe; and sisters, Elizabeth Boyd and Charlene (Bruce) Bestel.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 12, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
