Dorothy Peters

Dorothy E. Peters, 80, of Two Harbors, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Dorothy was born July 14, 1940 to Erick and Hilja (Walima) Axelson in Two Harbors, MN where she was a lifelong resident. After graduating from high school in 1958, Dorothy worked for Lake County until she retired. Dorothy married Richard (Dick) Peters on January 28, 1967 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors, where she remains a member. Dorothy attended many church and community activities and was a member of the Sons of Norway and Brimson Women’s Club.

Most recently Dorothy resided at Waterview Shores Assisted Living in Two Harbors and enjoyed the company of others living there.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a half-brother, Harold Nelson Jr.  She is survived by a sister, Prudence Johnson of Two Harbors; in-laws, Dorothy (Lind) Peters of Castle Danger, Janet (Peters) Hein of Saginaw, MN and Thomas and Sharon Peters of Two Harbors; and many nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 1 , 2021 at Lakeview Cemetery.
