Edgar Johnson

Edgar “Ed” Johnson, 81, of Two Harbors died Thursday, May 1, 2025 at home.

He was born March 9, 1944 to Edgar W. and Lollie (Yancey) Johnson and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1962. Ed served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion.

He was employed at Campbells, North Shore Steel, and Encampment Forest Association, retiring in 2019.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Bruce.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lois; son, Eric; sister, Brenda; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 9:30 AM at Lakeview Cemetery, with coffee and fellowship to follow at the American Legion from 10 AM until 12 Noon.
