Elsie Marie Potter

Elsie Marie Potter, 96, of Silver Bay, died Monday, August 17, 2026 at Lake View Memorial Hospital.

Elsie was born December 17, 1929 to Edith Gustafson (Ferdig) and Alfred Gustafson in Frederic, Wisconsin.

Elsie was a member Sychar Lutheran Church Quilting Club, and in the past Garden Club, Card Club, and the Good Cheer Club in Frederic.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling, dancing, knitting, being a foster parent, mostly for infants, flower gardening, and doing puzzles.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, William Potter; her youngest son, Ronald; and her grandson, Christopher Colten.

She is survived her son, Chuck (Peggi), and their children Sarah (Joe), Steven (Carli) and Topher (Jaym); her daughter, Connie Colten and her children Shawn, Devin (Tina) Donika, Trevor (DeLynn) and many wonderful great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10 am, with memorial service to follow at 11am, on Saturday 22nd of August, at Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay MN.
