Eric Scheidt

Eric M. Scheidt, 36, of Duluth died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

He was born on November 18, 1985 to Michael Scheidt and Gina Heinzen in Florissant, MO, and moved home to Silver Bay where he remained until after graduating high school.

Eric moved to Superior, WI where he attended WITC and received his Industrial Maintenance Degree.  After graduating he moved to Duluth and began his career at Charter NEX Films in Superior, working there for over 17 years.  During his time there, Eric received a plaque from NASA for his work on a special film used for weather balloons. He was a highly valued employee and friend.

Eric had many hobbies and passions, to include a vast collection of guns, knives, and “nerd paraphernalia” (as his sister would call it). And, to say he was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan would be the understatement of the century.

Eric loved his guns and shooting, but hunting was not for him. His gentle soul couldn’t go there.

Of all of the passions Eric had in his life, loving and spoiling his nephew and nieces were his greatest.

Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond Scheidt, maternal grandparents Chuck and Jenny Heinzen, uncle Kent Scheidt, aunt Sandy Bissell, uncle Ed Judkins, and Uncle Robbie Otterblad.

He is survived by his father, Michael Scheidt of Silver Bay; mother, Gina Heinzen of Frazee, MN; step father James Hoberg of Frazee; paternal grandmother DeLaineMcCune of Butler, PA; sister Leah Conboy and brother-in-law Alex Conboy of Frazee; step brother Lucas Hoberg, many special aunts and uncles; numerous cousins, and Emma, Rylee, and Campbell Conboy, the nieces and nephew who were the light of his life.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 3pm, at the Beaver Bay community Center, 711 MacDonald Avenue, Beaver Bay, Mn.
