Frances Ylatupa

Frances Ylatupa, 95, of Silver Bay, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Keystone Bluffs in Duluth.

Fran was born February 18, 1931 to Harold and Erma (Ohato) Hart in Littlefork, MN.

Fran was an active member of the MN USA and Silver Trail Riders. She enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, camping, golfing, baking, playing dice & cards, spending time with her family and watching all of her grandkids and great-grand kids play sports.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Rene Pakkala; brother-in-law, Bob Pakkala; daughter, Linda Lindquist; and great-grandson, Dustin Velcheff.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bill; children, Jeff (Pam), and Steve; grandchildren, Avery (Bobbi), Cassandra (Josh), Tina (Jay), Jesse (Crynessa), Janthony, Steven (Katrina), & Timothy (Denise); great-grandchildren, Harleigh, April, Brooke, Addison, Dylan, Kelsey, Piper, Natalee, Jesse, Alivia, & Watsyn, Taylor, Sarah, TJ & Laney; great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Autumn, Carson, Waylon, Payton, Georgia, Deegan, Everly.

A celebration of life will be held on July 13, 2026 from 11-2 pm at the Beaver Bay Community Center, 711 McDonald Ave, Beaver Bay, MN 55601.
