Gordy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lila; brothers, John and Roger; and sister, Marilyn.

He is survived by a son, Jim (Merry) of South Mills, North Carolina; daughters, Dianna (Duane) Roe of Two Harbors and Ardell “Chi Chi” (Frank) Ferguson of Thunder Bay, Ontario; brothers, Derwood (Ethel) of Havana, North Dakota, Maynard of Britton, South Dakota, Royce of Two Harbors, and Don (Cathie) of Arvada, Colorado; sisters, Norma (Gardner) Brubakken of Two Harbors, and Joyce (Dick) Lakang of Fridley, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
