Gretchen Boggie

Gretchen G. Boggie, 89, Two Harbors, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors after an extended illness.

Gretchen was born May 23, 1931 to Malte and Lilly (Schulz) Bjorklund in St. Paul, where she grew up and attended school, later graduating from St. Cloud St. with a teaching degree. In July of 1950 she married Ray Boggie and they raised their family in Bloomington where she was employed in school foodservice. She and Ray moved to Two Harbors in 1979 and Gretchen was employed by Lake County until retiring.

Gretchen loved to sing, enjoyed camping and was a great seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Shyrl (Patrick) White, Lynn (Diane) Boggie, Mark (Irina) Boggie, and Renay Boggie; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a twin brother and a younger brother.

Private graveside services were held at Toimi Cemetery.
