Helen Ogrodnik

Helen J. Ogrodnik, 78, Duluth, died Wednesday December 21, 2017 at Benedictine Health Center.
She was born June 17, 1939 to Engelbert and Dorothy (Bauch) Heil in Barron, Wisconsin. Helen grew up in the Rice Lake, Wisconsin area, moved to Two Harbors as a teenager, then returned to Rice Lake, where she attended school. She worked at the Mascot Onion Factory until moving to Duluth in 1969, where she met and married Peter Ogrodnik, and worked for Jeno’s for a short time. Helen was a member of Union Local #1116.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter, and a sister Shirley.
Helen is survived by her special cousins, Carlyn (Kathie) Bryngelson and Joan (Earl) Bryngelson-Howard; good friends, Joanne and Ken Docteur and their family; a special friend, Paul Mizera; and several other cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Benedictine Health Center Chapel. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Benedictine Living Community Activity Program.
