Two Harbors

Helen Louise (Lueck) Winslow of Two Harbors passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in her home following a brief illness.

She was born on February 1, 1928 to Fred and Rose Lueck in Aitkin, MN where she was raised.  In 1946, Helen married Warren Grubb and they moved to Duluth where they raised their family.  She was married to Carl Winslow in 1966 and they made their home in the state of Washington for a short time before moving to Webster, WI.

Helen’s great passions were playing any type of cards, great game of scrabble, and flowers.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors and St. John’s Church in Aitkin.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her children’s father, Warren Grubb; 7 siblings; and 1 great-grandchild.

She is survived by her children Tom (Diane) Grubb, Marilyn (Dick) Story, Mary (Dennis) Prestidge, Linda (Larry) Britton, Mike Grubb, Shirley Nicholson, and Terry Grubb; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Fritz (Betty) Lueck; a sister, Mildred Paulson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 PM until the 2 PM funeral service on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
