James Larson

James R. Larson, 61, of Silver Bay, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at home.

Jim was born on January 27, 1960 in Hayward, Wisconsin, and moved to Silver Bay as a child. As a young man he served in the U. S. Army Airborne. After living in Indiana for several years, he returned to Silver Bay in 1990.

Jim was employed as Director of Maintenance at various North Shore resorts, and was an active volunteer with North Shore Partners. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, agate picking, and solo camping with his dogs.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Larson; and step-father, William M. Gouge.

He is survived by his sisters, Deborah (John) Kingfisher and Charlene (Jim) Kingfisher; a brother, Bill Gouge Jr.; BFF neighbor, Carol Beyer; and several nieces and nephews.
