Jerry Viktora, 94, Two Harbors, died, Thursday May 25, 2017 at his home in Two Harbors.
He was born October 16, 1922 in Two Harbors to Ben and Rose (Freeman) Viktora. He grew up in the Knife River Valley area and attended school in Two Harbors. Jerry was drafted into the Army and served in France for three years during WWII. He married Mary Ann Maciejeski, on February 27, 1943. He worked construction and then worked for the DM&IR Railroad for 10 years, before working as a pellitizer for Reserve Mining until his retirement in 1984. Jerry was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Knife River Valley Club, and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 74 years, Mary Ann; a son, Roger; a sister, Bessie, and brothers, Stanley and Milo.
Jerry is survived by his son David (Rhonda) of Hibbing and his dog, Chase.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
