John H. DeCorsey III, 66, of Two Harbors, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth with his family by his side.
He was born September 8, 1951 to John H. and Audrey DeCorsey II and grew up in White Bear Lake. John enlisted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam War and later enlisted in the Navy where he was a Seabee. On January 19, 1980, John married Leslie Isaac and they moved to Two Harbors where he owned and operated his own carpentry business.
John enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially on his yearly trips to Alaska, and coaching his son’s hockey teams. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leslie in 2013; and sister, Carol.
John is survived by his daughter, Kandice (William) Szewcik; son, John Henry IV (Jackie); grandchildren, Jeana, Justis, Daymin, Shadoe, Keegin, Auni, and John Henry V; great-grandchildren, Marshall and Adalynn; sisters, Susan and Kathy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Silver Creek Town Hall in rural Two Harbors.
