John A. Myhr, 92, Little Marais, died Sunday December 7, 2025 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors.

John was born June 30, 1933 to John and Wilhelmina Myhr in Hovland, where he grew up. After serving in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War, he returned to Minnesota. He was employed at Reserve Mining Company, then worked for Lake Superior School District as a custodian, bus driver and arena maintenance for several years. Later he owned an operated Myhr Construction building many homes along the North Shore.When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed river and Lake Superior fishing and feeding and watching the deer and birds.

John was a member of Baptism River Community Church in Finland.

John was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Lake County Humane Society.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 Baptism River Community Church.
