June B. Anderson

June Anderson, 83, Two Harbors, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Lake View Hospital.

June was born June 13, 1940, to Jack and Juanita “Bessie” (Morris) Barnes in Trouty, Newfoundland, where she grew up. As a young lady working in nearby St. John’s, she met David Anderson who was serving in the U S Navy. They married on December 9, 1961, and after Dave’s discharge, they moved to his hometown of Two Harbors. June was a homemaker through the years, and worked from home, providing childcare, cutting hair, and sewing.   

June was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and its church circle and quilting group.

She enjoyed sewing and knitting, but her greatest joy was time spent with family.

June was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Barnes, and a sister, Edwina Maloney.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, David; children, Wade (Linda), Karla, and Troy (Heidi) Anderson; grandchildren; Jesse, Clayton, Erik, Lisa, and Anders; several great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Fiander and Audrey Hann; and several nieces and nephews.
