Kristi Stark

Kristi Marie (Johnson) Stark, 51, of Duluth, formerly of Northeast Minneapolis and Two Harbors, passed away unexpectedly April 24, 2019.

She was born April 12, 1968 in Richfield, Minnesota as the fifth and youngest child to loving parents Alvin and Doris (McNabb) Johnson. Kristi attended elementary school in Lakeville, later transferring to St. Louis Park, where she graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1986. During high school, Kristi attended Plaza One Modeling and briefly worked as a model and background actress in a movie.

After high school, Kristi followed her passion for art and design. Kristi completed a BFA in Design and Visual Communications from St. Paul College of Visual Arts in 1994.

Following her education, Kristi pursued her dreams as web designer and was very successful in her positions at Star Tribune, as well as a freelance web designer.

During her marriage to Shane Stark, Kristi gave birth to son Wyatt Penn Stark April 1, 2006. In her free time Kristi loved spending time with Wyatt, especially biking around the lake.

Kristi had many passions in life including travel, reading, art, and fashion. She had a special affinity for animals, especially her dachshund, Winnie.

Kristi is preceded in death by parents Alvin and Doris (McNabb) Johnson and brother Brian Johnson. Kristi is survived by son, Wyatt Stark, brother Mark Johnson, and sisters Sharon (Johnson) Wagner and Patricia Johnson.

A private memorial will be held in Two Harbors, Minnesota on June 1, 2019 in her honor.
