Kristine Sve
March 11, 1967 — April 12, 2015
Kristine E. Sve, 48, of Finland, died April 12, 2015 with her loved ones by her side, after a 16 month battle with lung cancer.
She was born on March 11, 1967 to Katherine Cole in Bangkok, Thailand. Being an Air Force brat is what brought her to Finland at the age of 8 years. She grew up in Finland, and graduated from William Kelley High School in 1985. Kristine married Bradley Sve on October 9, 1992. She was employed at Wolf Ridge ELC for the last 15 years. Kristine had a passion for her plants and flowers. She loved animals, and always had numerous pets. Kristine was an avid reader, and loved traveling.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Elizabeth Cole, and step-father, Arnie Lillback.
Kristine is survived by her husband of 29 years, Brad; children, Heather (Dennis) Lehtinen and Miranda Sve; sisters, Amy (Michael) Nikula, and Kelly (Brian) Sonner; granddaughters, Marlee and Alivia; and fur kids, Rocco and Nellie.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Clair Nelson Center in Finland. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Lake County Humane Society.
