Larry R. Peterson

Larry R. Peterson, 78, Two Harbors, died Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Essentia Health.

Larry was born September 28, 1948 to Carl Arthur and Ardelle (Carlson) Peterson in Two Harbors, where he grew up on the family dairy farm and learned to work at a young age. After high school he served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a foreman at Husky Hydraulics from 1966 until 1988. Then began a career in sales, as a sales manager at Benna Ford, Two Harbors Ford and Sonju Ford. During this time he earned his Real Estate Brokers License and worked as a Realtor until 2021.

Larry was a member of the Jaycees, Lions Club, American Legion, Two Harbors Chamber of Commerce, the United Church, and the Community Choir.

He enjoyed working in his yard, and time with his family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lance Peterson; and in-laws, Emory and Maria “Clem” Schiller.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra; a daughter, Angela (Chad) Costley; a son, Adam Peterson (Jenna); grandchildren, Caden (Arin), Kody (Jessie), Reese, and Athenna; a brother, Ronnie (Deb) Peterson; sister-in-law, Judy Peterson; and nephews and niece.

Private graveside services were held at Lakeview Cemetery.
