Larry Ulanowski, 51, of Brainerd, died Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Bethany Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born December 19, 1963 in Chicago, to Lawrence and Veronica Ulanowski. He grew up and attended schools in Silver Bay. Larry attended college at the University of Minnesota, UMD, and the University of North Dakota, receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for FMC, United Defense, TetraPack, and had a brief stint with LaBounty. He ended his career in engineering at Boston Scientific. During that time, Larry furthered his education, and earned a law degree. He opened his own law firm in Brainerd and Maple Grove. Larry enjoyed fishing, and snowmobiling, but most of all, spending time with his children.
Larry is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his children, Amy and Holly; mother, Veronica Ulanowksi; brother, Michael (Karen); sisters, Mary Brown and Deb (Ed) Wu; half-brother, Bill; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 PM Service, Wednesday February 18, 2015 at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, with lunch to follow at the Two Harbors Community Center.
