Leroy Teschendorf, 76, formerly of Finland, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors.
Leroy was born August 2, 1944 to Albert and Lorraine (Meyer) Teschendorf in Glencoe, MN where he grew up and attended school. After school he served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and served in the Vietnam War. After Leroy was discharged from the Army, he was employed at Unisys for many years. In 1992, he moved to Finland where he owned and operated Wildhurst Lodge and Campground until earlier this year.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, snowmobiling and ATV riding along with his work as trail administrator for the Finland Snowmobile/ATV Club. Leroy was a member of the VFW.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mida and Sevilla; and a brother Marvin.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; sons Lee (Dianne) and Jeffrey (Dawn); daughter Melissa (Josh) Goutermont; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Pichelman; brother, Dennis (Jean) Teschendorf; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be determined.
