Lois Kind
June 3, 1931 — January 4, 2015
Lois Kind, 83, Silver Bay died Sunday January 4, 2015 in Carefree Living.
She was born June 3, 1931 to Carl and Esther (Lundell) Peterson in Randolph, Minnesota, and grew up and attended schools in Vasa and Red Wing. She was employed at St John’s Hospital in Red Wing, Great Northern Hospital in St. Paul and a Tuberculosis Sanitarium in Cannon Falls.
Lois married Bob Kind on October 13, 1951 and they moved to Silver Bay in 1961. While living in Silver Bay, she worked in housekeeping at Lutsen Resort, was an active member of Sychar Lutheran Church, the Lois Club, and enjoyed volleyball, reading, and traveling.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Helen Heesch.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; a daughter, Gail (Ken) Amundson of Richfield; grandsons, Jacob and Robert of Richfield; brothers, Harlan and Larry Peterson; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Saturday January 10, 2015 at Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay.
