Marlene Anderson

Marlene Anderson, 87, of Two Harbors, formerly of Elk River, died Friday, February 3, 2023 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors.

She was born on October 14, 1935 to Richard and Lillian (Keays) Dobel and grew up in Elk River, where she lived most of her life and raised her only son, Richard.  In 1996, Marlene retired from her long career as an operator for AT&T.  She was devoted to her family, and she loved her Savior Jesus deeply.

She will be remembered for her big hugs, today presents, her love of bright colors and beautiful flowers, her witty humor, and her care for those she loved.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard “Dick” in 2014; and her sister, Betty Anderson.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dianne Anderson; grandchildren Sara, Kelly, Danny, Lisa and their families.

A private burial will be held at Vernon Cemetery, Elk River.
