Mary A. Kor, 79, formerly of Two Harbors, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Essentia Health in Duluth.
Mary was born February 11, 1943 to Martin and Mary Catherine (Walker) Kor in Tracy, Minnesota. She had lived in Two Harbors since 1970 and was employed as a bookkeeper for the Lake County Highway Department for many years until she retired.
Mary was a long-time member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the camera club in Two Harbors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed taking pictures, sewing, crocheting, making baby blankets and prayer shawls for the church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald Kor; and a step-son, Steve Beyering.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Leeseberg) Kolkin; a son, Daniel (spouse Michelle) Leeseberg; step-children, Pamela and Dean Beyering, grandchildren, Dale and Chelsea Kolkin, Joshua and Travis Leeseberg; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma and brother-in-law, Andy Martin, a sister, Theresa and brother-in-law, Jerry Sundell; a sister, Joyce and brother-in-law, Tom Yelensky: along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
