Mary C Mickle

Mary C. Mickle, 84, died Wednesday, August 6, 2025 with her family by her side.

She was born August 3, 1941 to Joseph and Irene (Hansen) Zapolski in Two Harbors where she grew up and attended school. She married James Mickle in March of 1962 which started their journey of many travels. Although she loved to travel, Two Harbors was always home.

Mary was the spiritual leader of the family and a devout member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a son, Stephen Mickle; brothers, Donald and Robert; and sister, Joanne.

Mary’s family was her legacy and she leaves behind her children; Rene (Tony) Susnik, Joel Mickle, Patrick (Ruth) Mickle, Elizabeth Nelson, James (Denise) Mickle, Michelle (Russ) deBrito, and Dan (Jess) Mickle; brother, Brian Zapolski; sister-in-law, Seija Zapolski; and brother-in-law, Bud Button. She was blessed to have a beloved number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
