Mary Ann Viktora
August 5, 1922 — February 20, 2016
Mary Ann Viktora, 93, of Two Harbors, died on Saturday February 20, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her husband and son at her side.
She was born August 5, 1922 to William and Sophia Maciejeski in Duluth, where she grew up and graduated from Central High School. As a young lady, Mary Ann worked at the Kozy Nook Café where she met Jerry Viktora who worked across the street at Beckman’s Garage. They were married on February 27, 1943. She worked for John Bruin’s clothing store, and later for Lake Superior School District as a kitchen aide. Mary Ann enjoyed crafting, knitting, Viking’s Football, and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Frances and Martha; a brother, Edward; and a son, Roger.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry of Two Harbors; a son, David (Rhonda) of Hibbing; brothers, Raymond Maciejeski of Duluth, and Joseph (Diane “Lucky”) Maciejeski of Downey CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday February 25, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
