Myrtle Hambleton

Myrtle (Myrt) Hambleton joined the angels on September 25, 2022. Myrtle was a wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and friend, and was loved by all. She had a deep faith in the promise of Jesus. Her smile was infectious and will always be remembered. She had a gift for touching the lives of those around her with an unwavering affection.

She was born Myrtle Clara Carlson on July 28, 1930 in Hinckley, Minnesota to Frank Oscar Carlson and Elsie Marie (Koch) Carlson. She married the love of her life, Donald Hambleton on January 20, 1950 and they enjoyed 66 years together. Don preceded her in death. Their children are Scott Hambleton of Brainerd, MN, Cheri Price (Kim) of White Bear Lake, MN, and Cindy Ortman (Bill), of Two Harbors, MN. Her grandchildren, joys in her life are Kirsten, Karli, Christian, Derek, Carrie, Peter and Andy. Her great grandchildren are Che, Koura, Landon, Max, Graham, August, Edison, Elouise, and Violet.  She always called the churches she attended, her extended family. She raised her children in Roseville, MN. She and Don moved to Moab, UT in their retirement years. For the last 16 years she has lived in Minnesota to be close to her family.

She was lovingly cared for by the staff of Sunrise on Superior (Two Harbors) and Diamond Willow (Lester Park). She also received excellent care from the staff at St. Croix Hospice (Duluth). Private family services will be held at a later date. Paying it forward when you see an opportunity would be the memorial gift she would love to see.
