NETTIE G. BUSCHENA
Nettie G. Buschena, 86, of Two Harbors died Saturday, October 2, at her home after a courageous 3 A� year battle with cancer.
She was born July 7, 1924 to George and Etta (Henrichs) Bents in Ransom Township, MN. On July 18, 1954 Nettie married Raymond Buschena and they moved to Two Harbors in 1956. Nettie worked at Lakeview Memorial Hospital as a dietary assistant until her retirement in 1992.
Nettie was a charter member of both Hope Lutheran Church and Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church and was active in many church activities. She was also a VFW Auxiliary lifetime member. Nettie enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 siblings.
Nettie is survived by husband Raymond; son Mark of Bismarck, ND; daughters Diane (Rick Brenna) of Clear Lake, MN, and Lori of Worthington, MN; granddaughter, Rachel Heinrichs; and brother, George Bents Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 4th from 5-7 PM at Cavallin Funeral Home. The service will be held at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church on Tuesday October 5th at 11 AM. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
