Penny Lee Winter

Penny Winter, 63, Two Harbors, died Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Aspirus-St.Luke’s Hospital after a long battle with leukemia.

Penny was born September 14, 1961 and grew up and attended school in Two Harbors. After living in Cloquet for several years, she returned to Two Harbors in 1995. She was employed at various restaurants in the area and also worked in sales for many years.

She had a great love of animals and especially enjoyed horses and 4-H Club. Other hobbies included gardening, fishing, hunting, crafting, shopping, and time spent with family and friends.

Penny was preceded in death by her mother, Lois (Dennis) Oberg; her father, William Fletcher; a brother, Terrance Oberg; a grandson, Aidan Mueller; and a brother-in-law, Brent Olson.

She is survived by her husband; Ron Winter; children, Dustin Henschel, Darci Hill, and Dan Henschel; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Ernie Trafford; sisters, Melody Olson and Amy Ohle; and other extended family.
