Reynold Lakso Sr.

Reynold Lakso, Sr. 93, Two Harbors, died Saturday, October 12,2019 at Waterview Shores in Two Harbors.

Rey was born May 27, 1926 to Lauri and Sally Lakso in Orr and grew up and attended schools in Hibbing.  After graduation, Rey served in the US Navy from 1944 until his discharge in 1946.  Returning to Hibbing, he was employed in the mines for 15 years.  On October 16, 1948 Rey married Carmen Legueri in Nashwauk where they made their home.  They later moved to Hill City for a short time and to Two Harbors in 1961 where Rey worked as a Game Warden until his retirement in 1987.

Rey was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the American Legion.

He enjoyed time outdoors; hunting, fishing, and trapping and horseshoes.

Rey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carmen; a daughter, Sally Magnuson; and granddaughter, Jennifer Bracey.

He is survived by a son, Reynold Jr. (Peggy); daughters, Sandra Demars and Gail (Lee) Olsen; son-in-law, Tom Magnuson; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Wilson.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the 1 PM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors.
