Richard Brink

Richard Brink, 78, Silver Bay, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 in St Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born May 2, 1932 to George and Chloe (Lane) Brink in Deer Creek Township where he grew up, attended schools and worked on farms until entering the U. S. Army in 1952, being stationed in Korea. He married Leona Peterson on April 16, 1953 and together they had three children. After his discharge from the Army in 1954 he worked on farms in Parkers Prairie until 1963 when he moved to Owatonna, where he worked at Truth Inc. until 1975. On July 23, 1976 Richard married Linda Ward and together they had four children. After moving to Silver Bay in 1980, Richard was employed as a bus driver and custodian at Wm Kelley High School until his retirement in 1996. He and Linda lived in Waterville for several years, returning to Silver Bay in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and time with his family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and Baby Boy Brink. He is survived by his children; Gwen (Jim) Ross, Cindy (Randy) Swanson and Don (Tammy) Brink and their mother Leona Brink; children , Kari (Matt) Anderson, Krystal (Brian) Singleton, Kim (Tyler) Brink and Kevin (Jessie) Brink and their mother Linda Brink; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin (Lenore) Brink; and sister Shirley (Gary) Thun. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday in Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday in Bay Area Vineyard a�" 99 Edison Blvd in Silver Bay.
