Richard Carlson

Richard “Ozzie” Carlson, 73, Two Harbors, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1943 to Edward and Bessie (Viktora) Carlson in Two Harbors, where he was a life-long resident. After graduating from high school in 1961, he attended UMD. Ozzie was employed for several years at Universal Fiberglass, Abex Corporation, and at the Moose Lodge Clubroom.
Ozzie was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially poker.
He is survived by a sister, Carol (Gary) Swanson; nephews, Christopher Swanson and Greg (Shelli) Swanson; a niece, Beth Swanson; grandnephews, Jake and Nate Swanson; uncle, Jerry Viktora; and several cousins.
Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 PM service on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the United Church in Two Harbors.
