Robert Bengtsson

Bob Bengtsson, 65, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
He was born on April 25, 1951 to Wallace and Lois (Garry) Freeman in Duluth. Bob was a lifelong resident of Two Harbors. After graduating from Two Harbors High School, he served in the US Navy and attended Brown Institute in Minneapolis. Returning to Two Harbors, Bob was employed as a letter carrier for nearly 30 years.
Bob enjoyed his Swedish heritage, visiting there several times, and learning the language. He also enjoyed Naval history, literature, world travel, and camping in the Boundary Waters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his brother, Garry (Candace) Freeman of Melrose; nephew, Erik; niece, Kirsten; and the most important person in his life, raised as a daughter, Lindsay Christiansen, of Eau Claire, WI.
A private gathering will be held.
