Two Harbors

Suzann (Sue) Johnson was born on December 17th 1945, to John and Florence Skadberg in Duluth Mn. She passed away peaceful surrounded by her family at home in Two Harbors on July 3rd 2025.

She lived a full and fascinating life. Born a premie, the daughter of a commercial fisherman of Isle Royale, growing up there and in Grand Marais, moving to Duluth in 1970 then moving to Two Harbors in 1980 where she continued raising 3 feral children plus keeping our Dad on his toes.  That "I'm a tough Norwegian and I can do it" really was her motto in life.

She was a lifetime (42 yrs) member of Moose lodge 1463 chapter 109 Two Harbors where she had become a big part. She became Sr. Past Regent, received her college degree and red stole, academy of friendship, top sponsor award, and just recently awarded the lifetime achievement. I know there are more. Mom and Dad spent many hours at the Moose decorating and helping out with what ever was needed. She later also became a member of the Proctor Moose lodge.

She is proceeded in death by her parents John and Florence Skadberg and her husband, Frank Johnson.

She is survived by her Brother Gene (Mary ann) Skadberg; daughters Gena Paige and Lezlie Johnson; son Wade (Jamie) Johnson; her grandchildren: Darren O'Hehir, Alyssa (Shane) Moran, Michelle (Wayne) Johnson,Cory Swanson, Heidi (Tommy) Soar, Mallory (Evan) Swanson, Katherine Paige, Sean Paige, Callie Jo Johnson, Jace Johnson and two great grandchildren Oliver and Olivia Soar.

So many fiends she also considered family.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Moose lodge Two Harbors, Monday July 14th from 2-6pm.
