Thomas J Magnuson

Thomas J. Magnuson, 68, of Two Harbors, died Friday, May 31, 2024 peacefully at home in his sleep.

Tom was born to Gustaf “Bob” and Meredith (Freeman) Magnuson on September 25, 1955 in Two Harbors where he grew up and attended schools.  After high school, Tom worked with his good friend, Larry at Rasmussen Well Drilling then Husky Hydraulics. After their closure in Two Harbors, moved with the Husky to Alabama where he worked until returning to Two Harbors in 1991.  Tom worked at LaBounty Manufacturing until his retirement in 2019.

Tom was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

He enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, the cabin, many trips to Isle Royale; and time with his family and grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Sally; and step-daughter, Jennifer Bracey

He is survived by his children, Dustin (Chelsey) Magnuson and Ashley (Brian) Magnuson; grandchildren, Bryce, Rylan, and Acelynn; step-children, Josh and Jana; step-granddaughter, Parker; a sister, Roberta (Mike ) Wick; nieces, Laura McMahon and Amy (Roger) Coombs; brothers-in-law, Rey (Peggy) Lakso and Lee Olsen; and sister-in-law, Sandra DeMars.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Moose Lodge in Two Harbors.
