William A. Donner

William A. Donner, 76, Silver Bay, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at home.

Bill was born July 25, 1947, to Homer and Irene (Treat) Donner in Littlefork, and grew up in Big Falls. He was self-employed as a logger in the Littlefork and Big Falls area for many years until moving to Silver Bay where he continued logging. In more recent years he was a fuel delivery driver for North Shore Oil and Propane until retiring in 2009.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Debbie Hanson.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cindy; a sister, Vicki Donner; children, Stacy (Dean) Bahr, Robert Donner, Elizabeth (Jake Miller) Donner, Kristina LaRocque, David (Jessica) LaRocque, Amanda (Jonathan) Henschel, and Raymond (Megan) LaRocque; grandchildren, Bryce, Kaylee, Brendan, Allison, Caitlin, Danielle, and Mia; and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Nova, and Zayne.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on June 8, 2024 at the Beaver Bay Community Center.
