Arverne Dahlgren, 82, of Two Harbors died on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Vernie was born July 17, 1938 to Thomas and Pauline (Corbin) Asher in Two Harbors where she was a life-long resident.  She graduated from high school in 1956 and married William Dahlgren on October 13, 1956. She was employed at Northland Store, Ben Franklin, and for 20 years at State Farm Insurance. Her last ten years of work were as a manager of the Lake County Housing and Redevelopment Authority.

Vernie enjoyed traveling with Bill, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking for her family.  She especially liked camping together with family and friends at Greenwood Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Bill.

Vernie is survived by her children, Jeff, Mike (Sue), Ken (Shawn) and Dani (Mark) Rafn all of Two Harbors; grandchildren, Bill, Andi, Amanda, Casey, Doug, and Jake; and four great-granddaughters; Elsa, Elizabeth, Lilith and Zoey.
