Joan Hungerford

Joan Olive Hungerford, 94, of Two Harbors died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Waterview Shores.

She was born on September 5, 1926 to Robert and Olive (Driscoll) McGregor in Two Harbors where she grew up and attended Two Harbors High School.  On a blind date, she met William Hungerford and they were married on December 21, 1946.

Joan was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She enjoyed painting, puzzle books, being with family, but what she enjoyed the most was dancing.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; son, Robert; and sister, Marilyn Peterson.

She is survived by three children, James (Linda) Hungerford, Yvonne (Bert) Highland, and Elaine Mattson; sister, Pat Fraser; brother, Dan (Bonnie) McGregor; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; along with many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, May 23 at Cavallin Funeral Home and will continue from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 24 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
