Robert Blaisdell

Robert W. Blaisdell, 84, of Two Harbors, died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Waterview Shores with his sons at his side.

Bob was born in Two Harbors on March 9, 1937 to Stanley and Margarite (Oberg) Blaisdell. After graduating from Two Harbors High School in 1955, Bob served in the Air National Guard and earned his insurance license. Bob was the insurance manager and an independent agent for Norwest Bank and Wells Fargo Bank for over 30 years.

Bob was a member of First Baptist Church, the Lakeview Men’s Golf League, and served on the Salvation Army Executive Board for many years. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping and golf, and was an enthusiastic supporter of Two Harbors High School sports teams.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John (Claudette), and sister- in-law Janice.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Madelyn; sons Dan of Sauk Rapids, MN; and Tom (Valerie) of Roswell, GA; and his beloved granddaughters, Megan and Nicole. He is also survived by brothers, David (Mary), Dennis (Sharon), Paul (Janice), Steven (Nona), and James (Norma), and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Two Harbors at 11 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
