Roger Dennis Fjeran, 67, Two Harbors, died unexpectedly at his home in Silver Creek, outside Two Harbors on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Roger was born April 28, 1953 to Alvin and Hazel (Maki) Fjeran in Two Harbors and graduated from Two Harbors High School in the class of 1971.

Roger graduated from Duluth Area Vocational Technical Institute in 1977 with a certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Machine Technology.

He served four years in the Air Force, stationed at Kincheloe AF Base, Upper Peninsula of Michigan and then worked at ReachAll in Duluth and later Stanley LaBounty in Two Harbors before retirement.

Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, staying at his cabin, raising chickens, gardening and boating on Lake Superior. He also canned his garden vegetables, deer meat and fish.

He was married to Ronda Hendrick from 1980 until 1986.

Roger was preceded in death by his uncle, Jon (Jack) Fjeran in 1969; aunt, Ella (Johnson) Fjeran in 1972; aunt, Jennie (Fjeran) Felland in 1975; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Walters) Fjeran in 1982; mother, Hazel in 1988; brother, Brian in 1995; uncle, William (Bill) Fjeran in 2002; Cousin, Anna Mae (Fjeran) Hansen in 2004;  father, Alvin and nephew, Corey McMahon in 2006; cousin, Harold Cleveland in 2007; cousin Marian (Carlson) Cleveland in 2013; sister, Darlene (Fjeran) Hoagland in 2017; and other relatives, Dale Fjeran, Rande (Svee) Neylon,; and Beatrice (Gelineau) Fjeran in 2020.

He is survived by his brother, Bruce Fjeran and sister, Coral (Fjeran) McMahon; brother-in-law, Ed McMahon; and nieces, nephews, and cousins, Adrianne, Raylene (Hoaglund) Pitschneider, Ronda Hoagland, Sasha and Sarah; Blake and Sue (Neylon), Brock, Dexter and Tammy, Henry Hoagland, Chauncey McMahon; many second cousins in the Cleveland family; and also his good friend, Gary Olson.

A graveside service will be held at Silver Creek Cemetery later, after the Covid-19 pandemic.
