Sandra Klemmer

Sandra J. Klemmer, 71, of Finland died Friday, November 4, 2022 at her home, surrounded by family after a brief illness.

She was born March 20, 1951 to Johnnie and Francis (Lah) Morris in Ely but grew up in Silver Bay.  Sandy married Kevin D. Klemmer on January 2, 1971 and together they made their home in Silver Bay and later Finland.  Sandy was employed for over 20 years as a para at Mary MacDonald School and William Kelley High School, retiring in 2015.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and going to the cabin.  She was an active member of the Beaver Bay Community Church for over 50 years, teaching Sunday School and the girls’ program.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kevin; sons, Nathan (Collette), David (Ashley), and Ben (Lindsey); grandchildren, Austin, Preston, Damian, Peyton, Callie, Anna, and Jordan; siblings Gary (Marilyn), Pete, and Dick (Missy); and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a service (open to everyone) at the Crystal Bay Cemetery on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will follow at the Beaver Bay Community Church around 12:30 pm.
