I will never forget this woman when I met her was two years ago my mom had a room with her and she thought I was a worker and she would say hey and point if she needed something and smile I felt honored I knew she liked me ! She started opening the curtain when I came in at night to see my mom and she stood up and I said Shirley be careful she sat down after a few steps and said uh oh Shirley be careful she smiled and laughed so hard and after that we shared that little moment of her being naughty and my concern  we became friends and I would help her with little things such as blanket or slipper or curtain. We had a connection she was so sweet! I  felt sad when mom left there cuz I started wanting to go visit mom but also shirley not just mom ! She was quite the little lady! Go  rest high on the mountain shirley! My mom and I liked her before we met her she had the same name as my grandma Shirley......wish I could visit with u again   your friend and the girl who liked our quiet but good friendship tanya ann nelson

Kay...have such good memories of your mother up at the care center. When I think of Shirley the word ‘mischief’ comes to mind🤓 Staff were always looking for her cuz she had gone on one of her little road trips. The best one was when they found her and another lady (forget the name) in the beauty parlor about 730 one night. LOL They had looked everywhere for her! She enjoyed life and that was good. You were alway so good to her...she knew how much you loved her. It’s hard to lose a mom, no matter what their age or ours is. Enjoy your wonderful memories.
Love and hugs...Jackie Carlson

Kay I enjoyed your Mom soooo much when I  visited my Mom in the care center also!!!.   (I worked for Cory for many years)  She was always making us laugh and surprising us with clever things she did. Sorry to hear of your loss.   My sympathies go out to you. She was a real treasure!!
