Tessie Huset

Tessie Hope Huset, 92, of Silver Bay, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 while visiting her daughter in Louisiana.

Tessabelle Hope McKee was born July 9, 1929 to Beatrice (McKee) Featherly in Trego, Wisconsin and grew up in Chicog, Minong, WI area.  She married Vernon Huset on October 8, 1946 in Pine, MN.  The early years of their marriage they lived in White Sulpher Springs Montana.  Later moving to Silver Bay, MN in 1955.  Tessie was employed as a custodian for the City of Silver Bay at the library.

Tessie was a member of Sychar Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed living life to the fullest but most especially when she spent time with her kids and grandkids.  She loved to crochet and do many different crafts such as quilting and needlepoint.  She enjoyed sharing her creations with the ones she loved.  She was a great cook and her lefse was better than any other in the whole state.

Tessie was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, two sons, Vern and James; three sisters, Nadean, Zelda and Yvonne; two brothers Richard and Dale; and her mother Beatrice.

She is survived by her children, Vera (Larry) Foote, Allen (Jackie) Huset, Keith Huset, Kevin (Kerry) Huset, and Lisa (Michael) Jacobson; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the Noon service on Monday, June 20th, 2022 at Schyar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay. Burial will be in Silver Bay Cemetery. To share your memories or condolences online please visit www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
